Toffees aux fleurs des Alpes
Our toffees are a flowery version of the ever-popular ‘Nidletäfeli’ and contain a colourful bouquet of mountain flowers from the Binntal Landscape Park. The cornflower, which originates from the eastern Mediterranean region, is a constant companion of cereal fields. Formerly combated as a weed, today it serves as a bioindicator that shows how heavily the fields have been fertilised. The bright orange flowering marigold is one of the most widely used plants in the cosmetics industry and is therefore also intensively cultivated. Borage is also known as cucumber herb because of the flavour of its leaves and is traditionally used in salads and soups.
