The starting point of this hike is at the village bus stop in Ausserbinn, from where the path leads steeply uphill through the village. After about 200 metres, turn off the road above the village onto the Binneggaweg. On the way to Binnegga, there are wonderful views of the Rhone Valley. At the chapel, the hiking trail leads down to the right into the forest until it meets the Suone Trusera. From there, follow the path to the right along the Trusera until it meets the Ernerwaldstrasse above Ernen. After a descent along the road, you finally reach the village of Ernen, which is the destination of this hike.
