Binntal Landscape Park team successful at the ‘Memorial Danilo Re’
On 18 January, the 29th ‘Memorial Danilo Re’ took place in the Swiss Na7onal Park. The competition with the four disciplines of ski mountaineering, giant slalom, cross-country skiing and shooting, the Binntal Valley Landscape Park Binntal and the neighbouring Veglia-Devero Nature Park took part with two teams. The women's team with Julia Agten, BrigiDe Wolf, Fabiana Matli and Eleonora Turci stood at the top of the podium.
The ‘Memorial Danilo Re’ is the largest meeting for rangers and employees of the Alpine parks, whose whose daily work is dedicated to the preservation and protection of Alpine biodiversity. First place for the women's team
Two teams from the cross-border Binntal Veglia Devero Nature Park also took part. Julia Agten took first place in the women's giant slalom, while Brigitte Wolf came second in the alpine skiing event. Together with the Italians Fabiana Matli (cross-country skiing) and Eleonora Turci (shooting) from the Parco Naturale Veglia-Devero, they won the women's team competition ahead of the Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Berchtesgaden National Park.
The second team from Binntal-Veglia-Devero with Moritz Clausen, Managing Director of the Binntal Landscape Park (giant slalom), Michael Murer (ski mountaineering), Marco Rughetti (shooting) and Luca Martignoni (cross-country skiing) came 13th in the men's competition.
