Gommer Roggenhörnli

Our Hörnli pasta is made from genuine Goms rye flour, an ancient grain with a high vitamin, fiber and mineral content. It is particularly resistant to fluctuations in temperature and humidity and was once the most important bread grain in the Alpine region. With industrialization, rye was displaced by high-yielding wheat varieties. Only with greater awareness of nutrition and biodiversity has the forgotten grain experienced a rebirth in recent years. Increasingly, golden fields of rye can now be seen shining again in Goms up to 1,500 meters above sea level.
