Gommer Cholera
Cholera or chouera is the name for a salty-sweet vegetable pie, a traditional dish from Goms that was particularly popular in winter. In times when nobody liked to leave the house, the farmers' wives would bake a "pie" with ingredients they had in the cellar.
Klaus Leuenberger offers the cholera in jars of 200 or 500 grams. The vacuum allows for longer storage.
Ingredients: Demeter spelt flour, butter (Valais), eggs, salt, cheese (Valais), Demeter potatoes, leek*, onions*, apples*, spices (* organic bud)
Preparation: Pull out the rubber at the tab and remove the lid. Bake the cholera in the jar in the oven at 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
Storage: Store in the fridge at max. 5 degrees. Once opened, enjoy within 7 days.
