Tulip orbit, Grengiols
On a few fields in Grengiols there is a wild tulip species, which does not grow anywhere else. Every year during the second half of May the village attracts many visitors who come to admire this special tulip.
The Binntal Nature Park has an attractive network of walking, hiking and mountain trails. The hiking trail network consists of the entirety of interconnected hiking, mountain and alpine trails.The network of hiking trails consists of the totality of interconnected hiking, mountain and alpine trails. In our area there are 3 different gradations of difficulty. These are signalized in different colors.
Hiking trails are usually intended for people on foot and easily accessible to everyone. There are no specific requirements for walking on these trails. The signalization is yellow.
Mountain hiking trails may cross difficult terrain. They are mostly steep and narrow and partly exposed. The signposts are yellow with a white-red-white tip, confirmations and markings are white-red-white.
Alpine hiking trails are demanding mountain trails. They lead partly through pathless terrain, over snowfields and glaciers, over scree slopes or through rock with short climbing sections. For these trails you need good equipment and very good surefootedness. The signposting is blue with a white-blue-white tip, confirmations and markings are white-blue-white.

This path is on the old mule-driver route through the Albrun pass, which connects Binntal with the italian valleys of Ossola.
Von Binn wandern wir zum Stafel Alti Mässhitta im Saflischtal. Der Bergweg führt weiter dem Saflischbach entlang in den Talkessel zum Stafel Statt.
We start off in the mineral village of Binn. The trial takes us to the hamlet of Zen Binnen, through the wild Twingi gorge, over the Roman bridge to the now uninhabited hamlet Hockmatta and after a small ascent into the Zauberwald and to Niederernen.
The start is at the bridge in Binn. At the bridge you go up to the church. After a steep ascent we turn right into the mountain path after about 400 m. The trail continues s up the mountain forest to Schaplerstafel, passing Salzgeb.
The highlights of the Binner Alpe in one day: alpine pastures, the lonely and mineral-rich valley of the Turbewasser, the high moor on the Blatt and the idyllically situated Halsesee.
Both the Eggerhorn (2,503 m) and the Breithorn above Grengiols offer some of the most magnificent views in the Binntal Landscape Park.
Maniboden and the lakes Mässersee and Geisspfadsee are some of the most impressive landscape features in the park.

This circular trail takes you up to Bättlihorn mountain (2,992 m above sea level). You get a fantastic view from the top of this mountain. The hike takes about 4-5 hours.
The suspension bridge crosses the Lammaschlucht gorge, 92 metres above the rushing Rhone river. The walkway made of locally sourced larch wood is wide enough to accommodate not only hikers but also wheelchair users and pedestrians with bikes.

A challenging but unique hike which takes you from Grengiols via the Saflischpass to Rosswald.
This is a challenging hike in which you climb to quite an altitude. However, you are justly rewarded when you reach the top of the Breithorn as you get a fantastic panoramic view of the region and can marvel at the beautiful Alpine flora.
