von Feld zu Feld / d'un champ à l'autre
From its foundation in 1983 until the summer of 2023, the regional museum presented archaeological finds and minerals from the Binntal valley as well as parts of the ethnological collection of archaeologist and ethnologist Gerd Graeser (1929-2016). The Graser-Andenmatten collection also includes a large number of other historical everyday artefacts in addition to the objects already known. From the end of 2025, the collection will return to the museum in changing thematic presentations. For the first exhibition, the Binntal Regional Museum is working together with the association least and the Valais artists' collective Facteur.
von Feld zu Feld / d'un champs à l'autre is a co-creative project that invites the population and guests of the Binntal Landscape Park to familiarise themselves with the Graeser-Andenmatten Collection of the Binntal Regional Museum and to engage with the objects in the collection. The aim is to actively involve the public in the selection of objects for the new collection exhibition in a playful and exciting way and to enrich them with stories and meanings. The project, conceived by a transdisciplinary group, offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future history of this collection and to appropriate the museum as a living space.
Find out in the flyer how you can participate in the project from field to field / d'un champs à l'autre.
